New Year's Resolution

I have some resolutions for new year. Fist, I'm going to run several days a week because I have gained weight since I came to Calgary. The foods in here is very nice and  my host family's cooking is very delicious, so I always eat up dinner. Moreover, the food in here is higher in calories than my country. I have to lose my weight! But I should buy a good running shoes and wear before I start to run.
Second, I'm going to practice cooking. I rarely cook in Japan, but many nice dishes my host family cooked inspired me. I want to help my mother by doing housekeeping.
Third, I'm going to study English and politics so that I don't forget many things I have studied in here. And I was surprised that many people in here know their country's politics well, on the other hand, I don't know the finance and politics in Japan. I'm 20 years old, so I can join government: I have the right to vote, I had better study it. Finally, I want to get some exams: color coordinator and Microsoft Office Specialist, so I have to study hard after I back to Japan!

Happy New Year!

I introduce my favorite holiday. This is New Year's Day! In Japan, we clean the whole house before new year's day to celebrate new year with fresh feeling. Japanese generally cook "osechi" , it's traditional Japanese foods of new year's; actually I don't like it....
 In my case, I watch some famous TV program with my family while we eat "toshikoshi-soba" , it's Japanese noodle, before greeting new year.
And then we go to shrine or temple to pray to spend well the whole year. This is the time that I can realize I'm Japanese. Almost Japanese is  We also eat "ozouni": it contains rice cake, carrots, radish, yam and so on in white miso soup. We have many traditional new year's foods!

Japanese style wedding

A bride wear kimono or wedding dress and a groom wear hakama or tuxede as a costume in Japan. They change their costume a few times in a wedding, we call it "oironaoshi."
 Wedding of Japan is thought that it takes a large sum of money to hold wedding and to attend wedding, so many foreigner don't want to hold wedding in Japan. However, there are a few good points about Japanese wedding. Their friends amuse all of the attendant to celebrate them by dancing, making a short movie and so on.

The most impressed thing is reading a letter that a bride wrote a feeling of gratitude to her parents, everyone are impressed by this letter. The hall would be filled with happy of tears.

Clean Mt. Fuji

Mt. Fuji is very beautiful mountain, is the highest in Japan.

 It was selected to a world heritage in 2013, while the Japanese Government ratified the World Heritage Treaty in 1992. That has a reason. The climbers of Mt. Fuji didn't have conscience of garbage problem in those days. There were a lot of large-size refuses: home electronics, motorcycles, cars and so on in the mountainside. So the Mt. Fuji Club, NPO corporation that was established for preserving the environment of Mt. Fuji in 1998, started a volunteer activity to clean Mt. Fuji. More than 6,000 people joined this and they have done this volunteer more than 60 times a year. Today, the garbage is decreasing and the mountainside is getting clean. It took more than 20 years for Mt. Fuji to be decided to the World Heritage.

It is very nice, but I think the climber of Mt. Fuji will be increasing because of that. If so, the garbage is also increasing. Developing the tourist industry is good, but we must not forget that an environment will be polluted because of that. It is also important to limit a number of tourists in order to protect our beautiful nature.

Beautiful Kyoto

Do you know Kyoto in Japan? If you come to Japan, I recommend you to go to Kyoto. Kyoto is the popular place among foreign people and even Japanese, so it must be crowed. There are many traditional buildings: temples and shrines in Kyoto. I think it isn't only traditional buildings that you should see in Kyoto. The best season to visit  Kyoto is fall, from September to October. This is the best looks, you can see a whole mountain and trees have colored leaves. You can see beautiful leaves with walking and you can drink a green tea. And you can see colored leaves illuminated up at night.

Moreover, you can see a lot of cherry blossom in spring. I think Kyoto foods are very good, but very very expensive. But you should try a green tea parfait; it is very good.

the Third Language

I studied Chinese last year at university in my country. Japanese always use kanji, a Chinese character, so I thought that Chinese is easier than the other languages. However, it wasn't easy. The pronunciation of Chinese confused me. It was very hard for me to study Chinese.
 Since I came here, I've thought that there are many people who speak Spanish in this semester. So I want to try to study Spanish. I know that I have to roll my tongue in Spanish, but I cannot do that. I think it will be very hard for me to speak Spanish. If I will be able to speak Spanish, it will be useful to travel. It will be very comfortable for me, if only I can read Spanish. Anyway, it's hard for me to master other languages except my country's language.

Europe travel

If I have $10 million, I want to travel around Europe: France, Italy, the U.K., Germany, Spain and so on... Traveling to Europe with my family is my admiration. There are many delicious foods, buildings, and nice places, I guess. But it takes high cost, so I haven't never been to Europe.

Especially I have always wanted to visit to Louvre museum. I don't have art feeling, but I want to see many famous pictures. That triangle building is so beautiful, I think. I have heard we can't see all around this museum in a day; we need a lot of time more than a day.


And I have the other place I've always wanted to visit. This is Mont-Saint-Michel. I've ever seen this on TV many times. I've never seen what a beautiful island! I heard it's hard to go there, but I wanna watch this wonderful place.




Finally, I want to eat many delicious foods: Italian foods, French foods, and Spain foods... There are many nice dishes in Europe. Someday I absolutely want to travel to Europe with my family.
